General Agent Program Questions What is the agent program? [Back to FAQ]   The agent program is designed to allow individuals to earn income by referring new customers to Vend-Trak. Agents earn a commission for each new customer that signs up for the free trial and continues their membership with Vend-Trak. Who can be an agent? [Back to FAQ]   The agent program is open to any individual or group that is looking for extra income. If you represent a group or a company that deals directly with bulk vendors, you may want to contact us about the Partner Program. The Partner Program is a reseller program rather than a referral program. Who makes a good agent? [Back to FAQ]   The best agents have direct contact with individuals that are already in the bulk vending business or that are just entering the bulk vending business. However, direct contact is not a prerequeset for a earning great agent commissions. We provide you with tools for advertising Vend-Trak with your agent ID to increase your effectiveness as an agent.

Earning Commissions How do I earn a commission? [Back to FAQ]   You earn a commission for each new referral that pays the initial signup fee. Each customer you refer will be given a free two-month trial service period. At any time during that two months they decide to continue the service, they can do so by paying the signup fee. When they do, you will earn 50% of the signup fee. The signup fee is determined by the agent through the Agent Administration account. The price you offer can be set anyhere above our minimum threshold, so you determine how much you will earn for each new referral. How often am I paid? [Back to FAQ]   Commissions and bonuses are calculated on a monthly basis. Typically, you will be paid by the 15th of the month for all commissions earned during the previous month (for more see "How am I paid?"). For example, you will receive your commission payment by March 15th for all earnings during the month of February. Commission payments will begin after attaining five successful referrals. Account Management How do I track my referrals? [Back to FAQ]   When you refer a new customer to Vend-Trak, you will provide them with your unique Keycode. This will link the customer to your Agent account. A complete listing of all referrals through your unique 'keycode' is provided for you through the agent administration page. You can log in at any time to see the current status of referrals that have signed up and that have paid. You will also see a summary of your past earnings and current monthly earnings. Can I change my keycode? [Back to FAQ]   Yes, you can change your keycode at any time. Changing your keycode will not affect referrals that have signed up under a previous keycode. Those users are permenantly linked to your account. Can I offer my referrals a discount? [Back to FAQ]   Yes. As an authorized Agent, you have the flexibility to offer price breaks on the standard Vend-Trak signup fee. You are free to set your price point within the allowed limits. The current minimum is $120.00. Your commission is based on the your price point, the amount your referral actually pays, not the standard signup fee. You can change your offering price anytime through your account administration page.

Agent Tools What tools are are provided to help me as an Agent? [Back to FAQ]   There are currently three tools that are provided to help you increase your earnings as an agent - the Web Ad, the Email Text, and the Businness Card Ad template. More information on each of these three items is provided below. What is a [Back to FAQ]   A Web Ad is a banner advertisement that can be posted on your web site to link to Vend-Trak. Users following the Web Ad from your site are linked to your account if they sign up. If cookies are allowed on the user's computer, then Vend-Trak will remember them if they come back any time within the next six months and create an account. What is "Email Text"? [Back to FAQ]   The Email Text is a pre-written sample email that can be sent to your customers either from your Agent administraion page (the text can also be copied and pasted to be sent through your own email server). The email contains a link that sends the referral to Vend-Trak and links them to your Agent account if they sign up. What is the "Business Card Ad" template? [Back to FAQ]   The Business Card Ad is a template advertisement used to refer potential customers to Vend-Trak. The Business Card Ad contains a brief description of Vend-Trak's service with information on how to sign up. The card also contains your keycode so that your referrals are linked to your account. The template layout is provided for you to modify at your discression. The Business Card Ad can be handed to individuals or simply "stuck" to the back of other bulk vending machines you may come across during the course of your daily activities.

Signing Up Users What if my referral doesn't type in my keycode? [Back to FAQ]   The keycode is the unique item that initially links the user to your account. It is imperative that the keycode be used so that you get credit for the referral. If they user does not type in your Keycode or use the link they provide you, they will automatically be offered the retail price offered through our web site. Please contact us if one of your referrals fails to enter the Keycode correctly so that we can rectify the situation for you and the user. Can I create the account for my referral? [Back to FAQ]   Certainly! Creating the account for your referral will (1) provide an extra touch of customer service, and (2) ensure that your keycode is used. To create an account for someone, just type your keycode in on the home page. This will direct you to the signup page. Simply enter the customer's information and submit. Be sure their email address is correct - after creating the account, an email will automatically be sent with their login information, a welcome letter, and a quick start guide. Your customer will be able to change their username and password at any time after logging in.
